Do you think that I should'nt have gotten a ps2?

I have an XBOX and a Gameboy, and I was debating between between a psp and a ps2 and i chose ps2 partly cuz it was cheaper. Do you think it was bad considering the system will be gone in about a year?

and also how do i convince my friends (because they call me an idiot because i didn't buy the ps3) that the ps2 is good? they just call me a nerd and dumb? help!!!!

Don't worry, the last game for PS2 (according to www.ign.com ) will come out in 2009. About convincing your friends - well, PS3 is stronger, than PS2 35 times, but you can tell them, that you saved a lot of money.
