Question by Bob: How to put a sound card from one comptuter into another?
I have an old compaq computer and a somewhat new dell computer, the sound on the compaq is good but i dont use that one, the dells sound is popping and you cant even here the music or anything playing, all you here is popping. Is there a way to take the sound card out of the compaq and put it into the dell so the sound quality is better?

Chances are, your old compaq computer has on-board sound and it's permanently attached to the motherboard, this is common with store bought computers.
if you want a better sound card, just buy one with a PCI connector (if your dell motherboard has an open PCI slot) and then install it. you can get a cheap sound card for $ 30 online! Creative makes very good sound cards, and don't forget to get a good speaker set with a subwoofer. a 2.1 system has 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. logitech sells a nice one for under $ 40 online
