Hi,
I work part-time at the moment and my notice period is VERY long! I am just writing my letter of resignation and wondering if it is possible to work less than your contract hours during this notice period, as I need to just work weekends so that I can start my new job ASAP! Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Depends on your contract. There is no standard employment contract in the US.
