ok my brother got a ps3 from wal-mart and 3 people there said that the ps3 said that the ps2 games will work on the ps3. is that true? if so does anyone know why his ps3 wont play ps2 games? anything i can do?

the new ps3s dont have backward capability they took it out for some weird reason
