Question by J'adore: How can I find out what wireless network card I have?

I'm going to be installing OSx86 and need to check the compatibility with my wireless network card; I'm on windows 7, I used to be able to find it but I can't seem to find it through the control panel options, is there any diagnostic tool available online that would be able to tell me the name and model of it?

I'm using an HP dv6265us, dv6000 series.

Thank you!

Go to your command prompt (start > run > cmd)
type
ipconfig /all
under the heading 'wireless lan adapter...' you'll see 'description'
That's what you have.

Good luck!
