Hello,
I just recently purchased a new computer but the fan runs very very fast and has been mentioned on the reviews negatively as many people feel the fan speed is too fast/too loud and will kill the fan life. There is an option to turn it down in bios but I don't want to turn it TOO far down. How much should I set it at for the computer while I'm playing Everquest 2? I currently have it set at 60% rather than the default 100% setting it came with.

look at the gpu temp. i always keep my 9800gtx under 60c. running the fan at 70 - 100 may decrease fan life, but a fan is cheaper than a whole new graphics card. i know they are rated to 105c, but i think the performance will drop before then.
