I just got a new digital camera and it doesn't say in the manual how long it stays charged. It's a E1075 Sanyo digital camera. thanks.

Your camera uses AA batteries. There is no data i can find that indicates how many shots you can get using a fresh set of batteries, but usually 250 is not unusual. If you buy some NiMH AA rechargeable batteries and a charger, they are more efficient since all newer P&S cameras are optimized to use NiMH batteries.
The other concern is how well you manage your cameras energy. Keeping the LCD turned off unless absolutely necessary and turning the camera off when not in use will extend the number of shots per set of batteries
