Question by DJThunderArm: How do you remove waterproofing spray stains from leather shoes?
I just bought a brand new pair of black leather Reebok shoes and decided to spray them with a waterproofing spray for leather, suede and textiles. The spray was quite old but has stained my shoes a gray color now. I've tried leather cleaners and dish detergent to no avail. I was told by someone that the chemicals in the waterproofing spray had separated because it was so old and essentially I sprayed them with near pure silicone. Please help!

If leather cleaners have not worked and the leather is actually stained then there is probably little else to try withpout more severe damage. If the shoes have now been sprayed with pure silicone as you have suggested then this will be impossible to remove.
