Question by shawna fonseca: How to receive a fax on my vista computer?
I hooked up an external modem with fax capabilities, hooked it up to my phone line, and ran the set-up wizard through "windows fax and scan". However, I'm not sure if it will work. Is there any way to test if I can receive faxes correctly? Additionall, is it ok if I don't have a printer hooked up, will the fax just be received in "windows fax and scan" similiar to how e-mails are received? Thanks!

Personally, I find that the best, easiest and cheapest way to send and receive faxes is by using online faxing services.

You don't need any complicated installations or extra phone lines, nothing. All you need is your computer and internet access.
