Plug the network cable from your cable/DSL modem to your internet port in your router. Plug the network cable provided with the router from your computer to one of the 4 ports in the router. You will need this connection only while you are configuring your router. Plug in the power for your router. If it came with a CD then insert the CD into your drive and run the setup wizard to configure your router. Once your router is configured, you will be able to unplug and connect to the wireless using the security code you selected during the setup process.
